Nothing here observes you

This site sets no cookies of any kind. It carries no analytics product, no advertising or remarketing tag, no social platform pixel, no session replay tool, no heatmap, no live chat widget, no embedded video player, and no typeface loaded from a font service. The two typefaces you are reading are served from this domain and nowhere else.

There is also no JavaScript on these pages at all, not a small amount but none, so there is nothing capable of watching what you do here even in principle. That is checkable rather than a promise: open your browser's developer tools, reload any page, and look at the list of network requests. Every one of them points at this domain.

What the form takes

The quote form is the only part of the site that collects anything. Submitting it sends us:

A name and a phone number. Both required, because a callback has to have somewhere to go.
An email address, only if you choose to give one. The field is optional and the form works normally without it.
Whichever service you selected and whatever you write in the details box.

There is nowhere on this site to enter a date of birth, a Social Security number, an income figure, or any card or bank detail, and we would have no use for any of them. A mold survey does not require that information, and a site in this trade that asks for it is one to close.

What gets worked out rather than typed

Three things are recorded alongside your message without you entering them: the time the request arrived, the user-agent string your browser announces to every website it visits, and the two-letter country code Cloudflare derives from your connection. Your IP address itself is not stored, which is also why nothing here is rate-limited per visitor.

One further thing is calculated from what is already listed above. Submissions are scored for whether they look like a sales pitch instead of an inquiry, using the wording of the message and that country code, and a suspicious one is marked as such so it does not reach the contractor.

Nothing new is collected to do this, and no submission is silently discarded. A genuine request that gets marked by mistake is still on file and still recoverable, which is why it is marked rather than thrown away.

Who receives it, and who pays

Your details go to a single local remediation company covering Ann Arbor, so that somebody can call you back about what you described. That company pays us for the introduction. You pay us nothing, and there is no arrangement under which you ever would. The about page says the same thing, because a commercial interest disclosed only in a policy nobody reads is not really disclosed.

Nothing is sold. Your details do not reach a lead aggregator, a data broker, a mailing list, or a group of contractors bidding against one another for your call. One inquiry, one company.

Where it lives and for how long

The site runs on Cloudflare's network, so Cloudflare is our hosting provider and handles requests to it. Form submissions are written to a database on that same network, held in North America, and then passed to the contractor. Your inquiry does not travel beyond Cloudflare and that company.

It is kept while the inquiry is active and for a short period afterwards, so that we can confirm you were actually contacted instead of assuming it. If you would prefer it gone sooner, ask and it will be.

Having it removed

Use the contact form, include enough to identify the original request (the phone number you used is normally sufficient) and say what you want deleted. If you do not get a reply, please ask a second time rather than assuming it was dealt with.

Minors

Nothing on this site is aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

Changes to this page

The review date at the top moves when the text does. This page is re-read whenever the form or the handler behind it changes, since that is the only part of the site that collects anything at all.
